Kirkpatrick's Facebook Effect

So, I was reading the excerpt from David Kirkpatrick's The Facebook Effect and I found out about a lot of interesting things about how Facebook began. According to the article, I can see that it can be pretty difficult to keep a new company afloat. For example, Zuckerburg almost had to sell Facebook because he took too many meetings, or in other words, "moguls." When this happened, Robin Reed, the Silicon Valley recruiter, advised Zuckerburg to take CEO lessons. This part of the article influenced me, because it shows people that even the best entrepreneurs need some kind of a coaching in order to keep their [company] going.

Overall, I was amazed on how Zuckerburg can manage his users and control his company while at the same time dealing with endless takeover offers from "moguls." This article really taught me about how one can manage a company while faced with other challenges both within the company and in real life.

I absolutely agree with you on your post, the development of Facebook really made Matt Zuckerberg drop some sweat and some tears.
