Jules Winnfield: A Character Analysis
Exposition: Jules goes through his expository dialogue during the opening scenes with him and Vincent.
Rising Action: The rising action occurs during the Face-off between them and the students. This shows the overall violent nature of Jules' character and his profession. His perspective is rooted in his spiritual connection with his profession. He sees himself as a reaper sent to judge the wicked.
Climax: Jules survives several rounds fired from a .44 magnum unharmed and begins re evaluating his life. He sees the phenomenon as divine intervention and no longer wants to live a live of violence and decides that he is here for a bigger purpose.
Falling Action: Jules faces off with Ringo and Yolanda. He offers to pardon Ringos life for $1500 instead of killing both him and Yolanda. This is where his character change comes full circle.
