Cloud Atlas - Halle Berry Incarnations

The Halle Berry character is one of the most important in the movie. She is one of the few actors to have an incarnation in every single time period.

In the 1800's she plays a slave on the plantation.

In the 1930's she plays Jocasta, the wife of the famous composer.

In the 1970's she plays Luisa Rey, the reporter.

In 2012 she plays a guest at the party.

In 2144 she plays the doctor that removes the collar from Somni~451's neck.

In the distant future, she plays Meronym.

Her character is tied very strongly to Tom Hank's characters Isaac and Zachry. A very important concept in the film, along with truth and individuality is love. Isaac says that shortly after meeting Lusia, that for some reason he's comfortable around her; even going as far to say as he loves her. In the distant future, her character Meronym goes on to marry, and even have children with Zachry.
