Pulp Fiction Assignment

The film begins with the robbery at a restaurant and then proceeds to Marsellus's hired hitmen (Vincent and Jules) taking care of business for him with the whole foot massage scenario. Later Vincent and Mia Wallace go out on a "date" and she ends up overdosing later in the night upon where Vincent revives her. Then the story of Butch hits and his little backstory as a kid, and him eventually running away/hiding from Marsellus and his goons because he betrayed his deal with him. Later he ends up saving Marsellus from rape torture and all is square between the two men. The last two scenes pan out with the Wolf coming to clean up Vincent's mess when he blows off the head of some black dude they were sending over to Marsellus, and it ends with the robbery at the restaurant and Jules character change/realization.

To put this into Freytag's Pyramid:

The Exposition would be when Vincent and Mia Wallace go out on a date because I feel like during this scene, or rather the buildup to this scene was when Vincent first met/interacted with Butch, and by the way Jules joked with Vincent shows that they possibly haven't spoken about the whole foot massage scenario between that random guy and Marsellus's wife. However, during the date with Mia Wallace, Vincent does bring up the whole foot massage thing and she says that it never happened which puts this scene technically out of order (and therefore can't be the beginning). BUT, it is possible that Vincent already knew about the incident before speaking to Jules about it which clarifies why he would ask about it at their date.

The Rising Action would be when Vincent and Jules take care of Marsellus's threat after their conversation of the foot massage thing. And the whole cleaning up Marvin's brain chunks from the car with the help of The Wolf.

The Climax hits when Butch saves Marsellus from man rape.

The Falling Action would be the restaurant scene with Jules character change

The Resolution would be when Butch departs with his girlfriend and is cool with Marsellus.

I have to say that this movie is nearly impossible and confusing to put into a timeline because things happen in some scenes that require the actions of what happened in another scene, such as the restaurant thing in the beginning requiring Vincent to have already gone on a date with Mia Wallace because of his foot massage conversation with Jules.
