For my story I decided to choose a classic; beauty and the beast. In the most popular retelling from Disney, we find the main characters Belle and Beast falling in love after defeating Gaston, the villain. Belle's kiss then turns Beast back into a handsome price, and happily ever after ensues.
I always thought that was kind of a vain ending. So I reject their reality and substitute my own:
Ending One; after Gaston is defeated, Belle kisses Beast, who does not transform. He remains a beast and Belle doesn't care because she is in love. That's true love and a more moral ending.
Ending Two; Gaston slays the beast. Belle then kills Gaston in a fit of anger. Might be popular in today's social climate.
Ending three; Beast and Gaston fight but after Beast pulls Gaston back up onto the roof, he realizes that Beast is not evil. Although they have much bad blood between them, a mutual peace forms. Beast and Belle fall in love, Beast transforms and Gaston sees who he was about to kill. Gaston now has to transform his personality. Fin.
