IXD Myth - Pandora's Box

In Greek myth, after Prometheus gave fire to mankind, Zeus decided that punishing Prometheus wasn't enough, and that the gods should also punish mankind for accepting the gift of flame. He gifted Prometheus' brother Epimethius with Pandora, and then Pandora herself with a box, which he warned her never to open.

Pandora, having been created curious by the gods themselves, inevitably opens the box, releasing all the misfortunes and plagues of humanity into the world, but also releasing Hope.
