Transgender Tales

I just found a CNN broadcast clip on you tube that deals with an eight year old boy in Colorado that will be attending his third grade class as a girl. This clip may be able to serve as a template for our project. I think that we may be able to use some creative editing and use most of this clip.

let me know what you think.

The video was quite interesting and it reminded me of the "Little Rock Nine" and the movie "Remember the Titans."

"The Little Rock Nine were a group of African-American students who were enrolled in Little Rock Central High School in 1957. The ensuing Little Rock Crisis, in which the students were initially prevented from entering the racially segregated school by Arkansas Governor Orval Faubus, and then attended after the intervention of President Eisenhower, is considered to be one of the most important events in the African-American Civil Rights Movement."

Change brings cruelty, anger, and frustration before the tides turn into something astounding and worthwhile. Perhaps, after a period of time,"transgender tales" will be a mark in history. Gradually, people will accept the idea. It is about the mixing of the generations. Most likely, it would be hard for a person who lived 200 years ago to accept that the word "equality" applies to everyone despite their race, gender, or sex.

This video makes me think that lowering the age of the child for our campaign would cause some serious turmoil. I mean the news reporter was floored that the eight-year-old in the video could determine her sexual identity. So decreasing the age would intensify that reaction. And I am pro using the clip somehow in our project. Nice one Chef!
