Interactive Storytelling

As I signed up for this class that no other student had ever heard of before during my preview, I had no idea of what I was getting myself into. I thought to myself, " Telling stories and interacting with people, we do this all of the time even though we fail to realize it. What other direction can storytelling go." Yes storytelling and interactivity may sound like simple concepts, but was I failed to realize was that there is a storytelling world that is beyond us, and that it is apart of the digital world. I consider myself a modern day seventeen year old, but this different world of storytelling was quite new to me. I didn't understand that humans can interact and create a story, or many different stories through blogs, twitter, avatars,etc.. With the current programs that we have available to us, humans no longer have to go out in the "real world" to interact with other people, we can do it from our homes, sitting in front of our computers. What we can do now with technology is unbelievable. Now let's go on a journey to the future, about twenty years from now. Think of the possibility of people interacting in just a digital world. Of course people would have to go out for certain things, but they could make business deals with people, and pay bills in this digital world. Interactive storytelling is not just about telling story, but it has become our way of living, but we can live our life and tell our story through many different approaches.
