The benefit of communications by text messaging

There is much which can be said for using email as a way of getting information out, but we must face the truth. today people don't check their email every ten minutes they check their phones every other second though. By sending out through texts or putting the information up as a status update on facebook or something there is no doubt that the message will be seen in at least half the time. Take for example the article in the Alligator. USF by use of texts and sites got their message out much faster than UF who used email. This is why it is so important for information to go out. One could even take as an example the Obama campaign which made use of text messaging to get out their messages. Everyone wished to be part of the "inner circle" and so wished to be put on the list.

Text messaging can become quite the addiction like playing video games. In the future (very distant), there might be devices that allows us to communicate with our minds. What if we could imagine the text and press a button to send it?

When we went and spoke to the police department on campus, they told us that they do have an emergency text message system that they will use in case of an emergency. But they won't resort to that method unless its an extreme emergency.

This is the new way of communicating. People no longer have to talk to each other to receive information anymore. The best thing about text messaging is that it can be done quietly. People can text while there in class, in a business meeting, or at work, without even being noticed. The post mentioned that text messages are sent out faster than e-mails, and this is true. I truly believe that one day text messaging will become the normal method for sending out important messages; for jobs, businesses, and schools.
