Group 3 Story Ideas.
Here are some of my ideas, suggestions, and comments for the group project.
I am not entirely persuaded that the project should be about aliens and spaceships in second life. I think this is a fine idea, but I would rather do something that is a bit more open, and abstract.
I think we could do something that is a little more conceptual, so the participant can have more room for his/her own interpretation.
I really like Tam’s idea about going between different tales and stories.
I also like the idea about using something like Quick Time VR.
Here is one suggestion:
I think we could do something like Tam was suggesting where the user could move from different famous tales or situations. We could use Quick time VR to create an abstract photomontage with different links. The montage can have images, from different stories that are well know to the public just like Tam was saying. But as you click in the links you can start to move between different stories. For example, maybe you start in a link that takes you to the little red riding hood story.
But once inside of those surroundings you have options to go to another story, film or place. Example Alfred Hitchcock “Psycho”
Therefore, as the user start to choose how to move through these abstract peaces of stories, places, images, and sounds he starts to formulate his own story in his mind.
The idea is to create something that is more flexible and interpretative oppose to a concrete story where the user acts more like a participant in a game.
Please let me know what you guys think about this Idea, and fell free to send suggestions and critics.
