project aesthetics
Overall aesthetics are something I think about a lot. I think having an cohesive look to a project helps keep it immersive. On the left is one of my favorite artists, Yayoi Kusama. I thought it would be good to include a picture of her not only because I want to include her in my piece but also because her work is always recognizable as hers. I would say that this is true of other artists I want to mention, from Maya Deren to Frida Kahlo.
This is one of my painted backgrounds that I would like to incorporate in this piece. I like nonlinear, sort of free associative narratives and I like the idea of creating a video to that looks like it is floating through space.
Next I am going to build a sort of web/sitemap/blueprint that I can perhaps more clearly explain my idea of intersections. Arturo suggested that maybe I should find another way of deploying this idea. I am definitely open to that. My plan as of now is to start making content in Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects so I can experiment with different ways of making it interactive.

I also thought of this free tool called Prezi (http://prezi.com/) that you might be interested in. It basically uses one large image as a canvas and then you can zoom in on different parts of it to see other images/texts imbedded in it. I don't know how well it fits with your DVD idea but it's a cool presentation concept. I just thought of it because I thought it would be a trippy ride to zoom into Yayoi Kusama's world. :)
