Intersections

Last semester I learned about the filmmaker Maya Deren, an early experimental filmmaker. Elaine and I even created our own piece altering some of Deren's film and adding our own artwork. I would like to continue this collage approach to working in this class by expanding the idea and making it interactive.

My idea is to create an immersive interactive experience centered around learning and exploring about a few of my favorite artists. I would have the user play the role of a young artist and go through the journey of exploration. If the user wanted to they could explore more about the life of the artist if they want.

I would like to have a sort of "chose your own path" DVD menu or other interface. I could also see this project easily translated to a website.
