What I've Learned

My preconceptions for this class were completely wrong, the first day I stepped into this class. I thought, ok I can tell a good story, I like talking in front of people. Interactive Storytelling is more complex than anything I've heard of. There was a digital world out there, where billions of people were interacting, that I had not been exposed to. This class exposed me to so many different digital gaming concepts that I had never heard of before. Second Life, is out of this world. Games like Facade, are so cool. I learned many concepts from Chris Crawford's Interactive Storytelling book. Oh yea, Crawford was also successful in confusing the hell out of me also. I'm so glad I signed up for this unknown class in Summer B. I learned to not believe everything that you see on the internet. There are many artists like Virgil Wong who are preying on the naive minds of the digital world. I learned that it is possible to bootleg a majr website (such as CNN). Interactive Storytelling has exposed me to things that I would have never been exposed to before, if it were not for this class.
