Problem Identification and Milestones

Rather than trying to find a complicated solution to a rather simple problem, I have redefined the problem as a need. The need is simple and can be broken up into several workable goals. The need is for a device that can repeatedly bore a small hole on the surface of a rats skull at a given x-y coordinate. This need can be broken up into several different parts, the first is to develop a system that can take a signal from a camera and translate that into a Cartesian coordinate value. The second part is to translate this value to an output that can then be used to drive a servo. Finally the system has to allow me to lower a cutter head straight down to bore a small hole that is perpendicular to the z axis with the smallest margin of error possible. Further progress to be posted with in the coming days.
