Once you label me, You negate me

After reading the publication "Multimodal support to Group Dynamics" by Pianesi et al it reminded me of a quote. Quoting Michael Myers in Wayne's World Quoting Soren Kierkegaard "Once you label me, you negate me." was what the argument of the proposed design reminded me of.

Designing a product which will essentially label people based on their actions is not only a difficult task but one that will only lead to another column of the many statistics. Although the implementation and the interaction method proposed could be groundbreaking, the intuition of a human being, cannot be duplicated.
