Mariposa the Sorceress (& her Shape Shifting Cat - Lennox)

Mariposa had been cursed in this life, with no chance to be deemed as good. In the Chahari kingdom, she was viewed as a dark spirit for having supernatural abilities. Growing up, none of the citizens wanted their children to play with her in fear that their family would get cursed by whatever dark magic she was conjuring. As time passed and her powers flourished, and fear was rampant in Chahari. The King sent out a warrant for her capture: dead or alive. Her mother did not want her child murdered for gifts that she had no control of receiving so, she brought her child to the Seer in the Dark Oak Forest. The Seer agreed to keep Mariposa safe for 5 years time until she had full access and control over her magic, but then she would no longer be able to keep her safe. The Seer warned that at the end of 5 years, Mariposa would have to face The King and it would be the ultimate struggle. The King never ended his search for Mariposa, his vendetta was strong against her, he couldn't stand the idea of anyone more powerful than himself. His jealously grew his anger and he became a horrible, delusional tyrant who would put on public assassinations to establish his dominance. As he terrorized the Kingdom of Chahari, and punished them for his own insecurities, the villagers were left defenseless and at his mercy. Now at the age of 15, she's returned home, with her helpful companion Lennox, to defeat The King and change her homeland for good.
