Story Bio: Achilles Son of Ares
Our group was looking to tell the story of the Iliad as a space opera.
That being said, we were all looking for ways to change or remix the narrative in new or unexpected ways to add some more dimension to certain characters and revamp the epic for a modern and interactive experience.

Some say he was a man blessed by a war god from another universe. Some say he was a demon brought into the world by a massive ritual sacrifice. Others simply don't believe he exists. One thing is for sure. If you meet Achilles on the battlefield, pray to whatever God you believe in that his blade not find you.
Maya Achilles was born to a small frontier family on the harvest world of Demeter, where she would lead the early years of her life operating mechanical exoskeletons known as mules.
During the last years of the Ethereum wars, the conflicts grew closer and closer towards Demeter as system states and the Terran Empire set eyes on Demeter for its crucial resources. It would be during the Demeter offensive that Maya would lose her family to a Terran planetary bombardment. With Demeter's crops scorched, Maya would struggle to survive in the apocalyptic aftermath, subsisting off of food scavenged and hunted.
Close to starvation, she would later be rescued by a battalion of Thessian power armored soldiers (known as the Myrmidons) and adopted into the ranks of their militaristic society. For the next few years, she would learn the art of war under the Myrmidon leadership and eventually become commander of the special battalion.
In the years to follow, Maya would become a respected leader among her comrades and a feared warrior among the cosmos. Due to the nature of infantry engagement in interstellar conflict, the average soldier is not expected to survive more than thirty seconds in combat.
Maya, on the other hand, has managed to survive thousands of hours in combat.
As a result, Maya would become a legend, an immortal demon clad in Crimson power armor striding across fields of desolation and cutting swathes through the ranks of any unfortunate souls and his army that stands in her way.
Eventually, the legend would surpass Maya herself.
The cosmos would know her as:
Achilles, Son of Ares.
