Jax The Bounty Hunter

Jax is a bounty hunter from the planet Dorcus in the starburst galaxy Messier 82. His father left when he was a child, leaving his mother to raise him and his sister. He works as an aerospace engineer in the Valbar moon space station. His mother is not well, so his sister tries to steal medicine for her from MedX, one of the largest medical corporations in the galaxy, but she is caught in the act. The President of MedX demands 3 million credits in damages caused by Jax's sister otherwise she will be imprisoned. Jax takes up bounty hunting in order to collect enough money to free his family from imprisonment. 

There is currently a war on AI, but Jax is a supporter of freedom for AI. Being of mixed race, and having read up on the systematic racism described to him by his ancestors. Jax doesn't believe in the systematic oppression of AI. One day he rescues an AI support drone (Robotic Assistance Module), RAM for short, from shutdown, RAM agrees to help Jax on his quest to get enough money to save his family.
