Norse Mythology: Valhalla
I Live, I Die, I Live Again.
In Norse mythology, Valhalla serves to be one of the most memorable portrayals of an afterlife in history. In Nordic warrior legend it is said that only acts of greatness will catch the eyes of the Valkyrie and grant them passage into the great afterlife where they can continue to relive their bold acts again and again for eternity.
These warriors die courageously in battle only to go to fight in the heavens. Sounds pretty cool in my book.
