Media That I Think Everyone Should Give a Try
I tried to give every kind of person a thing they could enjoy here
Movies
Baby Driver - A young boy surrounds his everyday life with music every second he can. His ability to drive a car piques the interest of many. The soundtrack is phenomenal and the characters very diverse. The movie is best described as an experience.
Ocean's 11 (2001) - A man just released from prison gets ten old friends together to pull the biggest heist ever in the country's largest casino. A nice mix of comedy and suspense.
Finding Nemo - A widowed fish's son is kidnapped by divers and swims across the Pacific Ocean to save him. If you haven't seen this I don't know what to say.
Aladdin - A young homeless man finds a lamp with a genie in it that will grant him three wishes. Fantastic animation and spot on comedy.
TV
Lost - A plane crashes on a deserted island and the survivors come to find that the island may not be so deserted after all. Good storytelling with a very character driven narrative.
Stranger Things - When a boy goes missing in the town of Hawkins, Indiana, his friends go looking for him and get involved in something much bigger. Very good sci-fi, horror, and perfect 80's aesthetic. The first season is self contained and only eight episodes long. Seriously, give this one a try.
Futurama - A guy wakes up from his cryogenic sleep after 1000 years and finds himself in the year 3000. Very creative world and hilarious show in general. I can't think of a single bad episode of this show.
RWBY - Four girls go to an academy to learn how to fight monsters, but soon learn the monsters are the least of their worries. Great action and a mainly character driven narrative. A unique 3D, cell shaded project created on the internet by a small company. You get to see an amazing improvement in quality every season.
Games
Undertale - A child falls into a hole in a mountain and comes to find it's inhabited with tons of monsters. An RPG deconstructed, inspired by Earthbound. Weapons are toy knives and armor can be a hat. A very heartwarming story through and through.
Persona 5 - You move from your rural home in Japan to the big city after being convicted for a crime. While attending school there, people start dying and having mental shutdowns left and right. This is an RPG that takes a completely different approach. During the day, you simulate life and make new friends and go to school. At night, you dungeon crawl and fight monsters. Great acidic jazz soundtrack and incredible aesthetic. I recommend that the artists and graphic designgers take a look at this one.
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - A brand new open world Zelda game. The world is beautiful and the landscape tells the story. The world is so vast and large that every playthrough is unique. Take the game at your own pace and take it all in.
Xenoblade Chronicles - People live on an enormous giant that has been dead for millennia. The citizens are constantly attacked by killer robots until a young man starts wielding the only sword that stop them; one that can show him the future. Amazing story and creative world. The story has many twists, turns, and unexpected occurrences.
