History of Data

I think this is a neat video that uses some "relatively" simple Maya modeling in conjunction with After Effects to make a seemingly boring history lesson pretty funky. I'd have to guess that modeling and mapping the CD to get the right look was probably one of the hardest parts of the animation.

It's amazing how far technology has come. I can only imagine what this video will look like in 10 years.
